how they feel

In a word... the braces feel... strange, they ache a little but they aren’t as painful as the spacers, it feels like a huge piece of food is caught in my teeth, it’s strange. That’s all for today.

Spacers

If you have ever had braces before you would know that the spacers in the beginning are the WORST part. If you have never had them before they basically wedge your teeth apart; which is just as painful as it sounds. So I have had about 50 drinks from Starbucks and 20 glasses of water to ease the pain, but now I’m cold because all the drinks I got were cold. The only upside is that I'm only have the spacers for a day, but then I’m getting the braces, well this sucks…

Braces

Hello there,

So I have very unfortunate news: I’m getting braces on Tuesday!!!! Yes, I’ve already had them once, so why on earth do I need them again? That’s exactly what I want to know. The worst part is that I’m getting them right around Christmas which means my mouth will be sore as heck for Christmas dinner. The second-to-worst part is that I still have no idea which color I should get and it should match EVERYTHING. The other thing I have to decide is whether to get the regular ones like this:
or to get the ones where the colors go around the braces which i couildnt find a picture of.

SORRY!!! D:

Let me start out by saying I am VERY sorry for not posting anything in almost 20 days, but for some reason teachers always load us up with a gazillion projects and things to think about right before the break, and I really haven’t had much time to update, and I’m afraid that I won’t be updating much over break either because I’m really just going to stay at home all day and play Sims 2, which isn’t very interesting if you’re not the one playing.
I’m going to try to make this post long because it really bugs me when someone hasn’t written on their blog in like a month and then they post like two words and think that it’s okay.
Since it is very close to Christmas I have been thinking about getting and giving. I received lots of great presents from people at school and have teachers and my friends presents, but I still can’t wait till Christmas morning to run (or half-heartedly walk/stumble while still imagining how warm and comfortable my bed was) to the tree. I’ve been really good this year about not opening presents before Christmas (except the ones from my friends, but I needed SOMETHING to hold me over).  The other day though a certain individual confessed that they had only gotten me two things so far, and Christmas is a week away, so I am revising my wish list so she has something to work from.  I really only want gift cards to places and stuff like iTunes and Urban Outfitters.
Something else I’ve been looking at and thinking about recently are my old Christmas classics from when I was a baby; they’re still on an actual VCR! What brought this on is that we watched the new modernized Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, and it was awful compared to the old one I used to watch and I became sad for the kids growing up now, who actually watch these new modernized versions. So, I decided to watch the old Rudolph, A Very Merry Cricket (based off of A Cricket in Times Square), and I plan on watching Santa Claus is Coming to Town Frosty the Snowman, and Arthur’s Christmas.
During the next couple weeks I will try to update you on the little things that have been happening to me, but I’m afraid it will be a pretty uneventful 14 days.
If I don’t post again have Merry Christmas.

Harry Potter

Hello,

Recently I have felt that my blog has been lacking in oomph. I guess that’s mainly because I don’t have a very interesting life. But something I have been thinking about recently is the 7th Harry Potter Movie. I have already seen it twice already, but am refraining from seeing it a third time, for fear of looking like one of those weird Harry Potter fan girls who dressed up as the characters to see the movie and then spent the whole opening weekend watching it. Saying this I have nothing against people who dress up for movie premieres and stuff, as you may recall I had been going to do that when the movie Legend of the Guardians came out, but I was on a class trip in Williamsburg. The people I do have issues with though, are the people who have memorized the script and had nothing to do with the production of it. Those people make me CRINGE!! I don’t know why but they are so annoying, and yes, I have memorized little bits of the movie like 30 seconds of it, but really, do you HAVE to memorize a two and a half hour movie?!

Something else I have been thinking about is what Hogwarts house I would be in, I have taken countless quizzes and I always come up as a Hufflepuff and on the rare occasion a Gryffindor. Sometimes I think I could be a Ravenclaw, but though I think I'm pretty smart I feel like that doesn’t really embody who I am. But anyway, from all the quizzes and reading the books I have been able to deduce the stereotypes of each house: Slytherin: evil, Ravenclaw: smart Gryffindor: brave Hufflepuff: everyone else. It has been said that Hufflepuffs are the outcasts and are usually average. They are also “particularly good finders” (if you haven’t seen a very potter musical you wouldn’t get this) But, the one thing in common that has shown up in the descriptions of a Hufflepuff is a good friend. They are friends with all the houses (even Slytherin a bit, even though they don’t have the same views, they aren’t like Gryffindors who would pick a fight.) So I believe I would be a Hufflepuff (on the verge of being a Gryffindor). I think I'm too nice to be a Gryffindor (I'm not bragging when I say I’m too nice, because the truth is, I'm pretty bad at being mean, which has not always come in handy)

Lastly I will talk about something that I mentioned earlier: A Very Potter Mucial. Watch it on youtube, trust me it’s funny. Its an actual full length musical (its on the shirter side, at about 1 ½ hours I’d say) but it is beyond funny, you HAVE to watch it.

Ok have a happy thanksgiving,

RACCOONS V. CATS II

hello
as my faithful blog readers will know i posted earlier about this issue, thne my friend posted her side of the argument. if you havent already seen it heres the link: http://anamesjustastringofletters.blogspot.com/
i will provide more arguments and stuff.
my argument was "Contrary to popular belief raccoons actually have more in common with pirates than with ninjas, though they resemble ninjas. Since they have the best traits of pirates (the plundering skills and get rich quick schemes) and ninjas (stealth and a black mask) they are elite. What are cats the symbol of? OLD LADIES" her aargument against this was 'My counter argument to this is quite simply that raccoons don't resemble pirates in any way. Sure they rip open trash bags on occasion, but the main difference is that pirates steal treasure and racoons steal trash. This not only means that racoons have no class, but it also means that they don't resemble pirates as far as I can tell." my counter counter argument is this: one mans trash is another mans treasure. Done. another counter argument was that the ancient egyptians prized cats. now let me ask you this: are they still around? NO. because the romans (whose reign was longer and greater than the egyptians) considered raccoons to be sacred instead of cats.

my next argument was as follows "Raccoons also help planet earth, and your wallet. Since raccoons eat your trash they are keeping these foods from being dumped in a land fill where they will rot and cause global warming. They also help your wallet because then you don’t have to pay the trash men to pick up your trash because you wouldn’t have any. What do cats do for the environment? Fart. 50% of the global warming is from cat farts (I think). Plus they will ADD to your trash pile with the litter box stuff, empty cat food bags, etc. Plus all that stuff costs $$ which you want to spend less of" her counter argument was "First off, garbage men are paid by tax dollars, not on an idividual basis, so don't fool yourself by thinking raccoons save you money. Actually, you lose money, since raccoons have to rip open the trash bags to get to the food. In addition, trash gets all over your lawn and who is responsible for cleaning it up? That's right, you... As for the enviroment, most food waste is biodegradable. If you don't know what that means, look it up in the dictionary. It's not the food itself that causes harm in landfills and if you're under the illusion that it is, I've got news for you, because the stuff that ends up in landfills are things that can neither be recycled or composted which includes: Chip Bags, Plastic Wrap, Used tin foil, Meat Packaging, Tissues.
You don't see raccoons stuffing their faces with chip bags, do you? So in short, they do virtually nothing for the enviroment either." my counter counter arguments are as follows:
- ok true... i made up the thing about cat farts (but i do know that cow farts help cause global warming and really... whats the difference?)
- if we had more raccoons we wouldnt have as much trash so less of our tax mney would be used to pay trash men
- cats still cost more money than raccoons
- if we domesticated raccoons we wouldnt have the trash all over the lawn problem because they would live inside and you could train them
- food may be biodegradable but it still takes a while and since poop (which is produced from eating) can be used in soils etc... and biodegrades faster it is still better for the environment

my last argument was that raccoons have dance battles and that cats make retarted noises to sare off their prey. rachel's counter argument is that there is no proof that raccoons have dance battles and cats dont make retarded noises well i have new for you rachel...
- cats do make retarded noises to scare off their prey, it is called hissing
- proof that raccoons have dance battles is coming soon so stay tuned!

imaginary friends

Hello. Today I am planning on talking to you about imaginary friends. When I was little I had an imaginary friend named Piggy. He was a pig. He had a younger sister and he was always mean to her. When we were buying our rabbits the salesperson who was helping us was named Tiggy, but we thought he name was Piggy, so ya… Then when I was four and I started being “bad” I blamed it on Choco. He was my second imaginary friend. Whenever another child in someone else’s family started being bad we would always say that Choco moved in with them. Then in second grade I developed about a gazillion more imaginary friends that I can still list:

• Thunder

• Chocolate

• Milk Chocolate

• Dark Chocolate

• White Chocolate

• Peter

• Kye

• Kaya

…and a few more I can’t remember right now.

Saying this it has come to my attention that some experts believe that imaginary friends are actually ghosts that can only be seen by children because of their purity. I think that sounds interesting, maybe those would be Choco and Piggy for me, but not the others, because I came up with them on purpose and they weren’t technically imaginary friends but whatevs…

I also remember watching a TV show called Foster Home for Imaginary Friends, which was about imaginary friends, but in their world as soon as you thought of an imaginary friend they became real.

I really don’t have too much to say on the subject since I haven’t had one in a while, but I think they are really cool personally.

PS more raccoons v. cats stuff is on the way, I’ve are just having slight technical difficulties

RACCOONS V. CATS

Let me start out by saying that as we ALL know, raccoons are FAR better than kitty cats. Saying that know many of you will ask why. Here are a few reasons that raccoons are better than cats.

Everyone knows that raccoons are the symbol of both pirates and ninjas. Contrary to popular belief raccoons actually have more in common with pirates than with ninjas, though they resemble ninjas. Since they have the best traits of pirates (the plundering skills and get rich quick schemes) and ninjas (stealth and a black mask) they are elite. What are cats the symbol of? OLD LADIES. Since when are old ladies cooler than pirates/ninjas?

Raccoons also help planet earth, and your wallet. Plus all that stuff costs $$ which you want to spend less of.

Raccoons are the mascots of Bubble Island, the most addicting game on Facebook. Enough said.

Raccoons have epic self defense skills. They may look all cute and cuddly, but they are actually vicious and strong. They have a better chance of surviving in the wild than cats, which are just cute and cuddly. Raccoons have many different moves they use to take down opponents (generally of the feline type) such as: The Trash Hider. The raccoon hides in the trash can while its prey walks along. At the last minute the raccoon knocks the trash can down, rolls out, and starts the dance battle. This then confuses the opponent and makes them dizzy (from all the pirouetting) and eventually the flop over dead. This is one of the best tactics used by Raccoons to take down small animals, such as cats, bunnies, guinea pigs, hedge hogs, and other animals. Just a few of the many other fighting moves they have are: the flying kick, the flying tail whip, the flying punch, the imaginary flying squirrel punch/kick/tail whip, and many more. What are cats self defense moves? Making retarded noises to “scare” of predators. This generally doesn’t work.

These were just a few of the reasons that raccoons are better than cats.

revelations

hello
today i realized two things.
1: i am going to grow up.

2: professional people have lives outside of work.

these things may seem childish, everyone knows they will grow up one day, but it has finally hit me. when my mom starting talking anout how i only had four more years at home. that did it for me. i have four more years till coleege. holy shitake mushrooms. omigodd omigodd omigodd.

the second thing was that professional people have live's. what made me realize this is partly when i saw "life as we know it" with jane and rachel.  one of the characters starts dating a doctor. ew. ew. ew. idk, but the though of a doctor dating someone makes me sick. the fact that they have families, friends, have taken vacations, have spent all-nighters, have done everything i have done just shocks me. then i thought about my uncle who is a doctor and how he has a wife, kids, neices and nephews, a sister, mom and dad. and now, no matter how hard i try, i cant picture him at work.

another blogpost...

hello
im bored i cam eup with a really good topic earlier today but i cant remember what it was so thats no good. i think i will talk about ly classes (give you the run down)

social studies: my teacher is the one and only... MR. L!!! He's a great teacher and gives everyone nicknames, mine was faucet (say a leaky faucet, now say aliki faucet), but then he said it was too obvious so now im just liki. we r working on this huge project where we reserach a supreme court case with a partner. I got Brown v. Board of Education. Its boring, I'll say that much.

ADM: ADM stands for art, drama, music and it is the period in the day when u either have art drama or music. all of these classes are really boring, but my fav ourite is art because we can do homework if we need to.

Latin: my teacher is Mrs. K. Everyone thinks she's weird but i like her. Sure, she makes noises in the middle of class, sure she is a VERY HARD tecaher, but i still like her.

sorry i just kind of stopped but im SO bored and i dont feel like  writing

HALLOWEEN!!!

hi
let me start off by saying HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! and yes i know i havent updated in almost a whole month, but ive been busy! so this year i was a potato sack with som of my friends. actually at school i was a perse girl (the school we did the exchange program with) but since they left yesterday i couldnt be one for  trick or treating so i was a potato sack. we made them earlier today and just managed to finish them in time, butg mine and mys econd friends were falling appart by the end of the night. we really  didnt get that much candy even though we did twice wat wwwe normally do. we also stopped at these people who are famous for giving out jumbo sized candy bars, but thye only had minies. some other people gave out popcorn which i ate while we were walking because i wouldnt fit into my candy bag. anyway im going to stop boring u about the candy i bought and tell u about some of the people we came across. so while we were walking in the drive way of one house this HUGE group of kids that looked like they were five  were walknig back, they said hi so we said hi back and then they started singing shots. then they started acting really obnoxious and then they left that house so we followed behind them. we soon realized that there were no adults with this huge group of kids and that when we saw their faces they werent five but more like 7 - 10. anyway. we could here them singing shots from all the way down the block so we ran after them and strted singing milkshakes. then we saw another large group of shirt kids that we thought were the same group but they were actually five so it was a little awkward when we started singing and they all just stared at us. then they told us to be quiet and all hid so we just walked away and then the first obnoxious group of kids came back and they stopped my sister and tried to hug her (she was snookie) so then we had a massive singing battle to the point where when we rang some peopels door bell they said they had been able to here us from a mile away. then we kinda ended up following them and then started doing really weird gross and obnoxious things that i will not mention. they also said some really nasty stuff. we finally ditched them and ran to a different part of the neighborhood and never saw them again. so thats how my halloween was

english exchange

hello
so as many of you know im doing an english/american exchange program this year, and im really excitedd!!! i think it will be cool for both me and the girl who we will call "harriet". the one thing though is, its gonig to be sooo boring for her and me when i go to england at school, because chances are we wouldnt learn the same stuff so there would be no way to comment on whats going on, and you arent beingg tested or given the homwork teh host gets, so basiucally going to school will be pointkess. i mean, who wants to listen to a teacher drone on about some random thing that you dont care about and arent being graded on, so what will harriet/i do during school? taking notes would be nerdy, i guess i would draw or read or zone in and out or work on a rubix cube. idk. ill figure it out.

boys

yes i know the topic of this entry is petty and sereotypical, and you've probably been excpecting it, but i have to write about it. You see i go to an all girls school, this i beleiev has made me socially retarded when it comes to boys. What i sont get is how you meet them in the first place, many people know boys from hebrew school or sunday school, but im not jewish and all the kids from my sunday school live 30 min from me and none of them are nice. i dont know what these people do to meet them. then  after you have met them, what do you say, obviously ur not gonna have the same interests, and if you meet them at a dance its literally impossible to talk, and the worst part is when you know who they are but the dont know who you are and its really awkward cuz u say hi, and they look at you like huh. and then theers the whole business of asking numbers, and certain advice giver, keeps telling me i should wait for the boy to ask, so i do, and they never do. i only have one guys number in my phone because my friend needed to remembber it and she didnt have her phone and i had mine so she plugged it into mine, and i never got a round to deleteing it. the other thing is, im the type of person that when i feel that my coolness is being threatened or you  think im weird clams up and cant say anything, all the creativity to make jokes suddenly disappears, and my tone of voice gets weird to. its not only with boys but with other girls that are on teh mean side. and then the big thing i dont get is why people invite groups of boys and girls over to their houses to hang out, i mean i almost never have my best friends over to begin with, so how am i gonna invite someone i barely know??? and even if i do know them wouldnt it be awkward, so ya i guess im an awkward person when im put out of my element. thats basically all i can say for today, the spawn of this post wast that i keep seeing these people post stuff on fb like "just got back from persoin1's house with person 2 sooo much fun heart heart" so ya thats it for now

look @ the post below

hello so i edited the post below so if you already read it skip down to the last par.

class trip and a dance

hi
so a lot has happened in the past 4 days that u guys need 2 hear about:
so this year for a class trip we went to WILLIAMSBURGH!!!! well... how do i start... ok, so we were told we were aloud to wear shorts -- of appropriate length. they kept saying "no booty shorts" so i assumed they ment the kind of shorts that ur butt actually hangs out, and since i dont own any of those i wasnt that worried, but i took 2 pairs of long bat mitzvah shorts just in case. when we got to williamsburgh the teachers inspected everyones shorts, and im not exaggerting, EVERYONE had to go back and change. so basically half of the grade wore bat mitzvah shorts, which were basically basketball shorts for boys. it was also in the 90's tempearture wise, so that was annoying. it was really very boring, becasue all we did was go on tours in 90 degree weather and stand for hours on end listening to people talk about stuff. there was this guy though, he worked at a printing shop, and he was hilarious. when we walked in goes (in a very heavy stereotypical redneck accent) "hey y'all! now you come inside. all you shorter people, y'all come in front. ya, all you late bloomers, come in teh front." then he started talking about how high school is worse than middle school. unfortunatly his shift came to an end about 1/3 of the way throuhg the time we stayed at the print shop, so then it was boring. the night before that happened we did this thing where you basically are given the experience of becoming a soldier, so we were but into different platoons and we had to march and stuff, but the people were really mean and they kept shooting real guns with real bullets in them at teh wall in front of us, then we went on a ghost tour, which wasnt scary, and im a very jittery person, so for me to say that it menas it was the exact opposite of scary. really te only fun part of the trip was lunch and shoppoing time.
when we were finally back home we went to a dance, where my friends ex bf asked two other girls to go out with him, to make her jealous. ooh and i introduced two people that now like like eachother. im a greta matchmaker. o ya i almost forgot!! so to get into the dance you were supposed to have a ticket or a school ID. the first year i went every1 was aloud in, the 2nd year you were supposed 2 have a ticket but if you didnt they'd let you in. this year though even the people who brought school ID's werent let in (and it said clearly on teh ticket either a school ID ot ticvket wa srequired) but i had my ticket. the thing was though, that the people didnt care if you were from an invited school, becuase i know many people brought their ID's but werent admitted. they also said that they scanned the tickets to make sure they werent copies, whicj i knew wasnt true becasue A.) there wasnt a bar code or anything B.) i saw our school secretary print and cut them out on regular printer paper.

tockwogh

hello yesterday i said  would fill you in on our class trip last yera to camp tockwogh, i reminded myself to do this because our class trip is coming up again. im not going to say where we're going for fear that some random person will stalk me there, but i will fill you in in the deets when i get back. anyway, back to tockwogh.

camp tockwogh is a sleep away camp. it is located across from a military weapons testing center, with a large lake that seperates it. if you go within 100 meters of it they will instantly shoot you with a machine gun. this was scary because they took us out on the lake on motor boats, one of which got stranded and had to be towed to the shore. there was also an oil slick the showed very obviously in the part of the lake people were swimming in. all throughout the night and day we heard loud things that shook the whole area and sounded a lt like thunder. we were told they were testing bombs. the scariest time they tested a bomb was when we were hiking and they tested the loudest most powerful bomb, which made me deaf for a few seconds after it happened, and shook the groud. i was a hugging a tree for support.

camp tockwogh also had undrinkable beverages. the food was ok suprisingly, but the drinks were horrible. the water has extra iron in it, and therefore tasted like blood. the milk was expired (trust me youi know milk has expired when you pore skim milk into breakfast cereal, and it looks like heavy cream.) and the only other drinks were watered down gatorade. the tap water had the least iron in it so thats what everone was drinking, exept in the morning when me and my friend found a boiled water machine and made tea. the boiled water was the only water that didnt taste like blood at all.

the other issues were the temerature (in the 80's with no A/C), the crickets which didnt affect my homeroom cuz our room wasnt in the basement, but a ffacted another homeroom to the point where you couldnt sleep in the bottom bunk bed and people were sharing twin beds, which trust me is a tight squeeze. this blog entry was not meant to diss ockwogh in any way shape or form, but merely provide you with the details. i feel like  only listed bad theings so here are the good things that happened:
our homeroom became REALLY close
smores
campfires
fun
friends

i know this list is shorter and the bad things seemed to rul wout teh good, but i wouldnt have traded those three days for the world. they were such an exoerience. i highly reccomned going but if you do bring A LOT of bottled water, and dont forget to pack your deoderant

hello
as some of you may know i qualified to take the honors math exam to see if i could get into it this year. well, i had to get at least an 85% on it, but what i heard from my trusted sources, is that only one peron in the whole honors' class got higher than an 85%, so that scared me a lot. i ended up with a 73%, which was much better than i had expected. so i am not in honors math. dspite the fact that i didnt get in, some good came out of it. 1. the head of tbs math department REALLy likes me (its never bad when a teacher likes you). 2. i kind of know what to expect next time. 3. the head of tbs math departmenet is going to tell my future math teacher that im not a stupid girl who only cares about her boyfriend (the majority of the non-honors class) therefore most likely making the teacher like me more (and also according to the head math dept. person, that will help my future teacher "encourage" me) normally the fact that im not in honors doesnt bother me, afterall many of my friends aren't and that means, since majority of the class doesnt understand a thing the teacher said, i get look all smart and stuff. but there is this one supstitute, who HATES standard math. to the honors class she's super nice (or so i've heard) and they all love her, but she treats us horribly and looks at us as if we're kangaroos or something of that nature. whenever we answer a question, even if we get it right, she always tells us we're wrong and does the problem on the board, when we say "thats what we said" she says "no it isnt, stop trying to act smart" or something along those lines. she is one of the main reasons i dislike standard math, the other reason is that i have this one friend that i havent had a class with since 3rd grade because she's in honors math. i have to say though, even thoufg it was easier to get into honors in 5th grade, im glad i didnt, becasue some of the girls that did became very mean and proud (as in one of the 7 deadly sins) i mean its great that you got into honors, beleive me its super hard, but you dont have to run around telling EVERYONE that and then act like your better than us standard math people. i remeber one time i was in a resource and one of my friends was doing surface area, and she asked me which side was the base, i said either side could be counted as the base but it was easier to say the base was the more square one. then this girl, who was in honors math, comes up and says "no only that side is the base your wrong" and i said "i'll show you that it would work if we called that side the base" and she was like "IT WONT WORK!!!!!!!!!" and so i said "ok ok jeez..." then the resource ended but i did check after and it did work so i was right. the one thing that puzzles me though, is that there is only honors math, why not honors soc. stud. or honors english??? i know in high school there is an honors science class, but the teacher told me ussually only people in honors math are accepted into honors science, which made me VERY angry (in my mind i puched him), so ya... those are just my thoughts on honors math. so ya...
ps i feel like i always end my posts by saying "so ya..." so today i will ennd by saying bye.

BYEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!

dinner for shmucks: after

so... first off if the movie is rated pg-13. it was  rated that for a reason, most of the time pg-13 movies are appropriate for 10 year olds. not this one. just dont see it if your under 13. second off it was officially the craziest most random movie i have ever seen, it was crazier than its a mad (6x) world. it was hilarious. but it had a sad scene in the middle and the thing i liked about it was -- okay wait lemme explain something to you, one of the chracters takes dead mice and stuffs them and makes them almost dolls and he did stuff like the mousalisa (monalisa--get it??) so the other character (we'll call him bob cuz i cant remeber his name) says something mean about mouse man and mouse man hears and gets all upset and he goes to his house and takes the mouse doll he made of bob amd puts it in a bin and puts his supplies in a bin and generally this is the part when the person throws away everything they've ever made, especially their favorite peice, (which is stupid and extremely depressing and cliche) what i liked a bout this is, he turns to his favorite peice, and then realizes its not worth throwing away his hobby. (there's a happy ending and bob and mouse man stay friends after the litle incident) so ya, thts my reveiw

a schools try to prevent kids from going on fb

hello
so today i would like to discuss my schools attempt to prevent children from going on facebook during school. Well it all started one day when i was talking with someone and we were chatting about what i did at school so i told her during recess i went on facebook and took care of some stuff. she was horrified and shocked and thought i was super 'rebellious' and i was gonna get in trouble. i had to then comfort her and tell her i went on everyday during school and i'd never gotten in trouble. then she told me that the school made a big deal that they dont allow students to go on facebook and will track down who went on and punish them. that obviously isnt true. yes, all of the computers but one in a certain section of the library have blocks on them to prevent you from going on facebook, butnone of the others have locks and they dont trace you down or anything. so ya, i thought id share that with you.

trashy tv shows

ok, admit it, you are addicted to at least one trashy reality tv show. jersey shore, keeping up with the kk's, the bachlor(ette) just to name a few. you start watching, and you just cant stop, for me its either kk's, or teen cribs. i dont know what it is about that show, most of the houses even arent that nice, but once i start watching, i cant stop. its like i have some addiction to watching peoople tour ne through their awesome houses. even if some of the houses arent too cool.

toupees

hello
so tonight im gonna talk about....
TOUPEES!!!!!!! (you can clap now)
(ok u can stop)
so for those of you who dont know what toupees are they are man wigs. the reason i am talking about them is that im bored and have nothing else to talk about. so ya, funny story about toupees: i was taking an improv class and we were doing a game called expert, when you are given a random topic and you pretend ur an expert about it and you give a little speech. so every one went and then teacher said we could put random topics in the hat and he would do a speech about it. so i said "toupees" and i told all my friends, then he chose and started talking -- and he had chosen toupees, at the end everyone had to guess what he was talking about and only my friends and i knew. it was funny, sry that was a waste of your time, whatev...

mac vs pc

hello
so i feel like one of the biggest debates of the era is mac vs pc. i've been reading up on it recently since i am a supporter of the losing team, but similarly to the pirates/ninjas debate im kinda half and half. the first thing u need to know about me and this argument is thta i have a dell. i love  it and am very pleased with (im using it right now) but the problem is whenevr i bring it in for school lorena, or one of the people in her clique look at my dell in digust and say "eww why is computer so bulky" my reply is that i like to actually be able to read the words on teh screen. i recently found this hilarious post about the mac vs pc debate that  is biased towards pc. it is very funny but there is a lot of profanity. heres the link: http://www.thebestpageintheuniverse.net/c.cgi?u=macs_cant the thing ive noticed about ranting about stuff like this is you can trash talk whatever ur against but at the end of the day (i myself find this at least) i like the other thing im ranting about.  the truth is though, dell really needs to catch up on the hardware stuff, the truth is, and i own and love a dell, but their computers are big, not that portable, heavy, have too many flashy lights, and have inconveniantly placed usb and earphone ports. i think, like most people i love mac's hardware, it is small, refined, and not that heavy. The thing i dont like about mac's is how confusing they are. The truth is i've always grown up in a dell household, and im always the person to go to for how to do stuff, so when my sister got a mac she kept asking me how to do stuff so i took a look and couldnt figure a thing out. I was sooo confused. One of mac's assets is that they are supposivly easier for first time computer users to use, but i have always been a computer whiz and i have no idea how to opperate a mac. maybe you cant teach an old dog new tricks, idk. I prefer pc software by far becaus ei find it easy to use and obvious. Since i have established tha i like mac hardware and pc software, i was overjoyed to hear that you can use windows with a mac. I have decided the next computer i get will be a mac (for the design and potability), using windows (for the software)

'regular post'

hiiiers!!!!
long time no read what im writing! so guess what!!!! theres only one more month in summer :((( NOO well anyway friday is my last day of camp (yes my camp only goes to the end of july) so this is pretty much my schedule 4 august: nothing (except aug. 9, thats my bday :D) so you can definetly expect a lot of posts coming up becaus i will have mnothing 2 do. also i have decided to write about what im doing at camp, sorry if this bores you but i nneed to write something. so first i have fashion drawing which is basically drawing clothes, so i made a little book of accesories, its pretty sweet (not really) then i have clay with some of  my friemnds but the problem is its kinda boring cause you cant really make much the last week of camp. then i have improv which is ok but sometimes the games get kinda boring. so ya oohh funny story 4 u guys: so i had been planning to see a movie with jane last tuesday, and we were considering inception, later that day i went on the YouTube website and they had one of those adds that play with out sound tthe first time and if u wanna re watch it with sound you click on it and the add was for inception, so i contacted jane and was like, "i just saw an add 4 inception -- ITS A SIGN!!!" so we went, at teh movie we saw some of our friends and so i decided the add on youtube had been a sign. ya... byee

inception: after

time for my reveiww!!

inception is about this man who does this thing called shared dreaming where he goes into other people's dreams (ussually with their permission) you can pretty much do anything in the dream but anyway cobb specializes in extraction, ot taking an idea or sopmething from someone while they're dreaming. because of his 'talent' he has been forced to flee his home and his kids and the only way he will be able to get back would be to preform inception, or the planting of an idea into someones mind.

so the first 20 min (aprox.) were really confusing, all thi random stuff happens and you get confused really easily. then it starts to become clear what's going on when cobb (the lead played by leonardo decaprio) hires a new 'architect' to design dreams. she is cobb's father's intern and she is very good. she helps cobb through his emotional troubles and what not, she basically helps the watcher understand what the heck is going on. it was th type of movie u have 2 c twice, so that you can fully understamd it.

despicable me

hi
so last saturday i saw despicable me. so we went to the theatre and were waiting in line to buy tickets. 2 people ahead of us was this group of old ladies who were going to see toy story 3. the only problem was they didnt want to see it in 3D which was the only option the theatre offered for that movie. so the one lady was like butg my friend told me you could see it in 2D. And the man behind the couinter was like well we dont have that option (he was having a hard time beacuse he had special needs(the theatre i go to hires people with special needs)) so this lady must of thought he was tricking her becuase she kept going on like "but i heard that you didnt have to see it in 3D" that went on for a couple minutes and then her friends were just like mary its ok instead of birthday hats we'll wear birthday glasses (im assuming it was some old persons bday) so we finally got the ticketrs and watched the movie. aftre that we went to a restaurant and the man next to our table was talking so loudly and it was driving one of the people i was with crazy. ya so thats wat happened ttfn

catchinbg upp

hii
so this is what songwriting was like:
it was weird the guy had this face tht really bothered me and his idea of how to writre a song was writing about how happy u are etc. so i switched out of it.so im doing yoga now and im much ahppier. but it was really annoying because the song writing teacher was the music teacher at eth school the camp was at (my schools rival school) and he was quizzing me and he was like ur school (we'll call it tbs) has a horrible music department and then he would be like im quizzing you so i can judge ur school. and the worst part is tht i signed up for another class with him in a couple weeks. AAARRGH!!! oh well i hope he doesnt remeber me. o ya so i was watching twilight and new moon with somebody and they were commenting on it and saying how its a very advanced love story and tht the feelings were too sophisticated for 17 and 18 yr old to have, and then i reminded her tht on of them was 110 yrs old and she also said that the books were too advanaced for teenagers to read and that half the stuff went over our heads. k i g2g bi :)

life... and pain

hello
sorry i havent posted in a while but as my friend said the summer makes people lazy. i was just thinking about well -- me. if youj  dont know me, or dont know me wwell, then you wouldnt know that i am the type of person thatt bends to fit what people think of me. for example, if you are an adult i act all sophisticated and stuff, if you are a kid and u are taller than me i actg all cute and cuddly, if you are a kida nd ur shorter i fell like a giant amd like a klutz. if you ared my hight you probably make fun of me for being well... me. i am the type of person that will go out of herf way to please you becuase if it doesnt physically kill me and it makes you happy, whyh not? and apparantly that makes people think i am:
A) easily taken advantage of
B) vulnerable
C) stupid
which in my opinion arent really good things. and then there are trhe people i acn act normal with and just have fun, at this poinnt, i dont habe any, i used to but things change and so do people and we grew appart. almlost everything reminds me of Her. She was my best friemnd @ one pouint and i guess we were just to different and now she has a clique while im nice to everyone which makes me not belong because to be in a clique you basically have to have one thing in common, hatred towards a person place idea or thing. havent you noticed hatred brings people together (ironically) liek hitler, basically the whole world hated him and temporarily became friends with eachother out of the common hate of the creator of volkswagem (yes hitler  was the founder of volkswagen). so since i dont reallyt hate because i can imagine being the other person so easily, i dont know how b/c ive never really been bullied or hated. and also for anyone who calls me a goody two shoes u have it wrong cause i a goddy two shoes is someone whos normally evil until the authority comes around and then their super nice and helpful etc. any way this girl that i used to best friends with, well i gues i found it hard after fourth grade to feel normal around someoenn like Her. we had so many memories together she was basically my heart, i loved her like a sister and then one by one the little peices of my heart broke but since somne started earlier tham others a lot of the peices have heealed, which is good but it still hurts. there is a quote and it goes something like this: it is harder to have somthing half way than to not have it at all. @ first i didnt get it and then i understood, if i had never had anything with Her and we had even been enemies, it would be easier for me to deal than the way it really is, halfway, we're the people you would never even know were close @ any time, and it makes me sad becuas eit was a great friendship, but almost noone would believ how close we were. we were sisters, soul sisters. its so hard to see her now becuas ewhemever i fleetingly look at her and her clique laughing and having a godd time and she realizes im looking she looks at me and she looks so sad. and i guess ive learned how tpp deal with it pretty well by now, but whenever i recall a memory, another bit of my heart breaks. if you aredd reading this you jkmow who you are id just like to say i miss you -- a lot.

the chosen

so literally last night i finished a book, called the chosen, which is about orthodox jews in the 1930s. suprisingly i really liked it, the writing was really good, the characters were good to. There is this boy named reuven, and he plays a baseball game a gainst this guy, danny, danny is up to bat, swings super hard, and hits the ball straight towards reuvens eye, and shatters his glasses, he ends up with a peice of glass stuck in his eye. it heals perfectly and he becomes very close friends with danny, but they are of two different types of orthodox jew, so there are many  differences that they must face and many challenges their families present

Bored

Hello,
I have been very bored today. Nothing has happened. Who are you? If I don’t know you, or you don’t know a friend of mine, I’m deleting you from my blog followers. I’m sorry I have to be mean but, I don’t want a stranger knowing what I’m doing. Comment and tell me who you are and if your one of my friends or one of my friends friends. Thanks.

I spent the whole day being bored. I have been practically living in the car since I don’t have school, but the good new is that we're having Chinese food tonight! Yay. And, I might go on vacation in a couple of weeks. So, I’m crossing my fingers for that. I have found that Aeropostale shorts/pants give me a terrible wedgie. Sorry, that just came to mind.

And, my laptop is having a hard time getting internet so I’m on my desktop which I don’t really like that much, but its better than nothing. If you were a member of http://www.stayrandom.webs.com, don’t forget to tell everyone that it is no longer my website and that this is my website.

I Love Farmville

Hello,
As some of you know, I have a farmville account. And, as some of you know, I am very good at the game. But, I haven't been able to play it recently because of finals and all the homework. So, I started going on again and I have become an addict again! I love my farm and I thought I would tell you what I plant in it. I have: broccoli, lilies, cabbages, red wheat, cotton, grapes, honey dew melon, bell peppers, lavender, potatoes, peas, sunflowers, corn, peppers, pink roses, watermelon, pineapple, daffodils and red tulips. I have already mastered these crops: soybeans, wheat, eggplant, squash, and artichokes. I'm sorry this was a boring blog post but I didn't know what to write about.

Thoughts On "Vincent" and "Schools Out"

Hello,
Our first item of business today is that it's almost summer! HAGS everyone!!! For those of you that don’t know what that means, it doesn't mean a weird old lady, it means have a great summer. Second item of business is in regard to the title of this blog: my thoughts on the songs “Vincent” and “Schools Out”

The reason I chose Vincent by don McLain is because it has been stuck in my head all day. It is about Vincent Van Gogh, and his life as, not only a painter, but a lover. Here’s a link. It’s kind of an older song, but I still like it. My dad introduced me to it.

The reason I chose “School's Out” by Alice cooper, is because school’s out! That’s basically what the song is about -- freedom! Here’s a link. It's an older rock song that I find to be very catchy, I was introduced to it by the wii game Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, which in my opinion, is by far the best version of guitar hero out there. Since it’s in guitar hero it quite obviously has a very strong guitar part, which I love.

I Hate Sales People

Hello,
This may seem odd but, I hate sales people. You know the people that go up to you and say, "Do u need help looking for something?" I don’t know why, but they annoy me. I don’t want a stranger to help me choose my clothes. I want the satisfaction of knowing that I found the clothes I bought myself. I don’t know if I’m weird so comment and tell me how you feel about sales people.

What a weird dream...

Hello,
Last night I had a really weird dream. Jzigfried and I were at a dance and they played music. She started to make an ocean of light (literally the Atlantic ocean was pink) and then she jumped into the light waves because they were really big. Then they played another song and the ocean got smaller. I asked her why and she said it only works with certain types of music. Then I was on facebook but it was haunted and my cousin, who is 8 years old, had an account. I though it was weird because his parents are overprotective. I will probably post again later today but I have a French exam coming up and I have to study.

Thoughts on "The Perks of Being a Wallflower"

Hello,
As some of you know, I finished reading a book called “The Perks of Being a Wallflower”. It is about a high school boy named Charlie. It is a good book but I wouldn’t recommend reading it until you are in high school. There are a lot of references to music and books. Once on a yellow piece of paper with green lines
He wrote a poem
And he called it "chop
Because that was the name of his dog
And that’s what it was all about
His teacher gave him an A
And a gold star
And his mother hung it on the kitchen door
And read it to his aunts.
That was the year Father Tracy
Took all the kids to the zoo
And he let them sing on the bus
And his little sister was born
With tiny nails and no hair
And his mother and father kissed a lot
And the girl around the corner sent him a
Valentine signed with a row of X's
And he had to ask his father what the X's meant
And his father always tucked him in bed at night
And was always there to do it
Once on a piece of white paper with blue lines
He wrote a poem
He called it "autumn"
Because that was the name of the season
And that's what it was all about
And his teacher gave him an A
And asked him to write more clearly
And his mother never hung it on the kitchen door
Because of the new paint
And the kids told him
That Father Tracy smoked cigars
And left butts on the pews
And sometime they would burn holes
That was the year his sister got glasses
With thick lenses and black frames
And the girl around the corner laughed
When he asked her to go see Santa Claus
And the kids told him why
His mother and father kissed a lot
And his father never tucked him in bed at night
And his father got mad
When he cried for him to do it
Once on a paper torn from his notebook
He wrote a poem
And he called it "Innocence: A Question"
Because that was the question about his girl
And that’s what it was all about
And his professor gave him an A
And a strange steady look
And his mother never hung it on the kitchen door
Because he never showed her
That was the year Father Tracy died
And he forgot how the end
Of the Apostles’ Creed went
And he caught his sister
Making out on the back porch
And his mother and father never kissed
Or even talked
And the girl around the corner
Wore too much make up
That made him cough when he kissed her
But he kissed her anyway
Because it was the thing to do
And at 3 am he tucked himself into bed
His father snoring soundly
That’s why on the back of a brown paper bag
He tried another poem
And he called it "Absolutely Nothing"
Because that's what it was really all about
And he gave himself an A
And a slash on each damned wrist
And he hung it on the bathroom door
Because this time he didn’t think
He could reach the kitchen----

It is a beautiful poem but it is very sad.

Intro, I Guess

Hello,
Most of you have probably heard the song "The Long and Winding Road" by Paul Mcartney (one of the members from the Beatles) if you haven't, here's a link. Although the song is about love (in case you didn't understand the metaphor) that's not nessecarily what this blog is about, it's basically about my life and my thoughts about my life. I will "gossip" but I will change the people's names so people aren't hurt. The reason I named this blog "The Long and Winding Road" is because I got the idea for it when I was in the car listening to the song. In my opinion, the song shouldn’t just be about love, life itself is a long and winding road so, that’s why I named it this. Please enjoy and feel free to comment and state your thoughts.
